This is exactly what I was looking for. I replaced new carpeting throughout the house and want to protect it. I like sliders so I can move furniture to vacuum underneath.

I was planning on keeping these sliders under the legs of my dresser and bed at all times, but the weight of the items caused the center portion of the sponge to pick up. Pages. But they are very useful for moving heavy objects across carpets.

I bought these chair glides and they are the perfect size. However, these sliders each have a large square of fairly stiff foam in the middle, so when you push the chair they slide right off the foam. Since I think it's probably too late to return them I might try digging up the styrofoam and see if that works.
