Description of 🔥 EZDIY-FAB M.2 SSD Heatsink 2280 - Double-Sided Heat Sink - High Performance Radiator for PC / PS5 - PCIE NVME M.2 SSD or SATA M.2 SSD - Red

Aluminum Alloy Heatsink with the most heat dissipation designed specially for 1x M.2 SSD 2280 DIY Desktop PC SSD. Aluminum alloy-Groove design, Double-sided cooling design greatly increase the heat dissipation area, with 10°C - 30°C cooling effect (Varies depending on the environments), cool your M.2 SSD to a safe temp to avoid overheating and throttling, improving the performance of your computer. Specially designed for desktop computers, this M.2 SSD heatsink compatible with M.2 2280 SSD, perfectly fit for Samsung 850 EVO, 860 EVO, 960 EVO, 970 EVO, 950 PRO, 960 PRO, 970 PRO, etc. The use of high-coefficient phase change thermal silicon wafers greatly improves thermal conductivity. Long-term use of phase change materials, thermal conductivity will be better. EZDIY-FAB Heatsink is designed to be installed and removed fast and easily.

Helps reduce controller temperatures

Works great under heavy load. I tested with Crystal Disk Mark with and without a heatsink. Drive Temperature 5 (which I believe is the controller) showed a dramatic temperature drop of 89°C without HS compared to 71°C with HS. However, with HS enabled, I noticed that after a few test runs, the idle temps stayed slightly higher than when using it without the heatsink. However, the idle temp isn't bad so I leave it on as it works great when I put the drive under load and it can't get close to 90C

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Replacement availability

Great heatsink for new PS5 NVMe/SSD expansion

I bought this heatsink to install a Samsung 980 Pro in a PlayStation 5. And it fits like a glove. I was able to screw the metal plate back onto the M.2 drive bay. (One of the few that does) As long as the heatsink does its job and keeps the temp down. No warnings and my M.2 drive works as intended. The thermal pads held up too. I highly recommend this heatsink rather than paying extra for the heatsinks that come with most SSDs.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons

The pads are a bit painful but definitely work

The only downside at first is that the pads stretch but are very brittle. If you pull a little too hard to separate them from the plastic wrap, they MAY break. So be careful. Now positive. it works. I just bought a Samsung 980 Pro which DEFINITELY gets hot during the stress test. Yesterday I did a user benchmark test and it showed a maximum temperature of 65 degrees Celsius. Did the same test again today and the maximum temperature was 45 degrees Celsius. I think if the stress test continued…

Nice little heatsink

My motherboard came with a heatsink for the top M.2 SSD but not the bottom one. I installed this heatsink on the bottom secondary plate to improve thermal performance. I haven't run any tests to confirm that it actually cools the drive better, but it looks good and I assume it works. It is easy to assemble and includes the necessary thermal pads and screws to securely attach the drive to the heatsink.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • May damage

Good build quality, optics and cooling!

Helps a few degrees Celsius at best. What makes it even better for me is the aesthetics. I have a green 1980's Intel 660p M.2 sticking out like a sore thumb on an all black design build. So it worked by masking that green and giving it a clean look. The design goes well with my motherboard. Build quality, instructions and packaging are good. Comes with an extra screw in a small bag in case you lose it during installation. Now my computer looks more unified and cleaner!

Pros
  • Great for a small home

Ideal Heatsink for PS5 NVMe

Very happy with the quality of this heatsink. I installed it on my WD SN850 and it fits my PS5 perfectly. The PS5 tested the drive at 6600MB/s, which is what I expected. I recommend installing it so that the EZ logo is at the end of the drive slot as shown in the product image and not toward the other slot. Disc. It comes with a Phillips screwdriver, but I highly recommend using your own as it's too small for the screws and if you're not careful you can easily snap them off. Otherwise it's…

Does what it's supposed to do

This product effectively cooled my ADATA XPG SX8100 2TB NVMe M.2 drive. The ADATA XPG includes a heatsink, but it's just a piece of plastic (as far as I can tell) with double-sided tape attached. This bad heatsink caused my drive to throttle in temperatures above 70 degrees. After installing this new EZDIY FAB heatsink, the hard drive temperature dropped significantly. My temperature is 30-45 degrees all the time. Installing this radiator was not difficult. Installed in 5 minutes. The most…

Difficult to install with included standoffs and doesn't cool well

I have multiple double sided M.2 2280 NVME SSDs (one Gen 4x4, one Gen 3x4) Gen 4 works with Sabrent heatsink, Gen 3 uses this heatsink currently moment. Both have good airflow so that shouldn't be a problem. When benchmarking, the Sabrent tops out at around 48°C, the EZDIY-FAB at 55°C (and that's with the ultra-high performance thermal pad I had to use, not the standard). So about 7 degrees temperature gradient. However, because the Sabrent is fourth generation and much faster, it also…
