My vacuum started to smell, I don't know what I was vacuuming but the smell was unpleasant. I changed the filter and it smells and works like new. I have had a vacuum cleaner for a long time and I have 3 dogs. They can get to balls of fur that a large vacuum cannot reach.

They work great and are very easy to clean. They even come with a small brush. My vacuum works great as long as I keep the filters clean. I change the filter weekly so having multiple filters is good. Remove excess dirt with a brush, then scrub with soap and hot water. I usually use an old toothbrush for this. Allow to dry completely before reusing.

Complete junk! The filter fits too loosely in the holder! A BIG problem as the air has to go THROUGH the filter and the air always takes the path of least resistance, turning your Shark into a dust spreader! OEM filters must be INSERTED into the cartridge to show the rubber seal is fully seated in the cartridge and pushing all air through the filter mesh.
