Expensive but worth it

Excellent outdoor fans. I now have three installed in very humid Houston. Work well, well balanced. Installation is easy and the instructions are clear.

Will not last long in ceiling fans

Fan blade broke after two years. Also, we had to return one of the original fans we received because it only had a few inches of cord. It was obvious someone had already cut the wiring and brought it back. Even when they were first installed, we could definitely feel them. I can only assume that they slowed down because after about a year we didn't feel them at all.

Update 6/29/2014: Doesn't rotate as fast as when installed and doesn't move as much air. Took about a year!

Makes a buzzing noise but doesn't really bother me since it's used outdoors. That's why I give four stars. What I like: Moves a lot of air! I can't find anything on the market that moves that much air but I don't want to risk buying again.

I installed a number of ceiling fans out of several.

I've installed ceiling fans from a variety of brands in the past with no problems; however, this does not apply to this fan. First, several washers were missing for the fan blade screws - is it really hard to count 15 washers? Then, after completing the installation, I found that the fan only runs at a very low speed, regardless of the chain tension. Also, it only rotates clockwise - changing the direction of rotation had no effect. Sorry I can't give less than one star. Definitely not worth…
