They are not intended for use on boats or in the marine environment. The description needs to be changed. This is misleading and people who don't know will use them and they will rust. If you don't need them as SS they might be fine, but I haven't used them. I sent it back right away.

They are perfect for some small canvas work on my boat. I love that these spikes were 3/8" as I don't need the 5/8" spikes which are too deep for some of my thinner fiberglass sections. Using these snaps and rivets I made an outdoor kitchen latch, some snap on window blinds and a fan cover. As long as they work as intended.
