Not worth overpaying $3-4

Air filter not worth overpaying $3-4. I took the product out of the packaging, it did not differ in appearance and smell from the usual products I took.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Empty

Perfect for filters

I've just fitted this to a Toyota but haven't driven much yet so can't comment on its freshness yet. I give it five stars because it arrived in two days, it fits great and the price is actually better than Walmart.

  • Great for me

Follow the instructions carefully.

It has been 2 years since I last changed the cabin air filter on our 2003 Toyota Highlander. The old filter has started collecting dirt in the filter pleats. My filter is relatively easy to replace.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Good but not great

Better than the standard cabin filter

Very thick and strong, larger than the original Lexus OEM filter. Works great in the car ventilation and air conditioning system, providing good airflow from the fan. I felt the need to snip about 1/16 inch off one side of the filter to better fit the holder, but it probably wasn't necessary.

Fits perfectly. Ease of installation. Saves money.

I was impressed by the amount of debris and fine dirt in the cabin air filter on my Highlander and my son's Rogue. For most vehicles this is a very quick and easy fix - a simple and inexpensive option when done by the dealer or your mechanic. I was also pleased with how much more air flows through the vents.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Useless features

Exceeded my expectations.

At first glance it seems to be the wrong filter compared to the OEM design. Then, after reading some great instructions and looking at pictures of my exact car, it all just made sense. It's really tight and doesn't smell that bad. Its job is to absorb odors, so I don't know how others would expect it. I only use Japanese zucchini to fix odor issues in my car. In terms of air filtration, I bet it will do the job just fine.

Pros
  • Still satisfied
Cons
  • Little things

Helped rejuvenate my $600 2005 Toyota Highlander.

So I bought a 2004 Highlander from Retirees for $600. It was in very good condition but had a mouse/rat issue. Of course, the cabin air filter was what they called home, so when you started the air system you smelled nothing but a bad odor. Extensive spraying, cleaning, removing and replacing the carpet, and changing the filters got this thing smelling "almost" new again. But it's damn good. I just need to find a product to clean my seats and I'll be a happy camper.

Pros
  • Shipping was very fast
Cons
  • Fits

Exact fit for 2003 Toyota Highlander

Received it today and it fits my 2003 Toyota Highlander perfectly. The cabin filter is located behind the glove box on the passenger side. You'll need to push in the sides of the glove box to allow the rubber plug to go through the plastic wall. After that, the glove box just falls down and hangs there. There is a small black panel with an arrow pointing up that you will need to remove and behind it is a plastic frame that will hold your old cabin air filter. Simply pull out the old filter and…
