I get so many compliments on the light and it gives my desk such a beautiful glow - similar to a candle but safer for an office environment. I had to find out the wattage of the halogen bulb for my KitchenAid Microwave/Cooker Hood as the information was not on the original bulbs. (Microwave/hood ran for over two years before needing replacement.) Found a parts website that said it was a 25w G9 base halogen bulb. I ordered three of these (two spares and one spare). I use it in the hood over the stove. They usually last a little less than 1 year if used an average of 2 hours a day. For me it's low. Price is good compared to Lowe's or Home Depot, less than $5 per bulb, I don't recommend it given the long lifespan. They heat up incredibly, which I suspect, combined with the location over the stove and the vibration of the hood when the fan is turned on, just burns through quickly.
