Fel Pro Vs50599R Valve Cover Gasket Review

I have not had good experiences with the blue Felpro seals on many cars as they are too soft, flat and bottoming out. Ford 4.2 V6 F150 and Mitsubishi 4 and 6 cylinder to be exact but they worked great on the Chrysler 3.8 V6 in my Jeep JK.

Installed on 2005 Town & Country. Make sure each screw goes back into the same hole. I accidentally mixed up 2 and couldn't figure out why 1 bolt was too tight to reinstall when all the other bolts were easy to hand tighten. Torque up to 10 lb-ft. I removed the wiper tray for easier access to the back cover. These new seals work great and fixed the leak!

This seal is simply the best. As you know the 3.8 Town/Country is a bear on the back of the engine, there isn't much room or visibility even with the wiper box removed. But this set cannot be drawn. The rubber bushings contain a metal spacer that prevents you from over tightening (within reason) and damaging the plastic valve covers.
