good metal case: power supplies

I'm gradually replacing extremely hazardous plastic power supplies with metal power supplies throughout the house. Plastic extension cords are very dangerous and having personally seen them short out internally, melt and catch fire, I will never buy a plastic extension cord again. They have a solid metal body, and what feels solid also applies to mid-size forks. This is a mid-range fork at best, but it's perfect for low-voltage tools and doesn't require a lot of abuse. Large, durable extension cord

Six sockets. Renewal. steel body. Heavy Duty Cable. Corresponding security certificate. Illuminated switch. What's not to like? I like them, partly because of the metal body, partly because of the 90 degree sockets, partly because they're pretty easy to assemble and seem solid enough once installed.

Not what I expected

Really considering returning them. I opened one up to see the design inside. Inside, I've found that instead of standard UL-style sockets, each pair of sockets is just a molded plastic construction that doesn't look like Bakelite, just hard plastic. Also, the connection between pairs of jacks appears to be just bare pieces of copper. Look at the photos to understand what I'm talking about.
