🐎 Fiberglass Shaft Horse Riding Crop with Double Leather Slapper Review

This crop is difficult to rate as Revain's shipping department folded it entirely in half to fit in a bag that was too small to carry. As a result, I wasn't able to flatten it out completely and it feels weak in the middle, which is surely due to it being bent in half for so long. I wish I had the opportunity to rate one that wasn't damaged in the packaging process.

This is a cheap new crop. The leather tip is not at all like the photo: shorter and not as forked, the attachment point with the shaft makes the shaft too long for safe use. The leather also appears to be of cheaper quality, if it is leather at all. Foam handle, nylon strap. In the photo both are leather. This is a disgusting and deceptive business practice. The crop gets stuck in the sack and now the wood is warped.

For $10 it's not very good. The picture looks much better than the real product. The bow as shown in the picture is longer, it was bent in a plastic bag and not sent in a straight box, so now it has a slight bend. The hinge itself is small, which annoys me a lot, but it was also damaged. If you look at the hinge it's pressed on itself so it's stuck until I try to fix it. Durability is good. Also, it's not clean as it has fuzzy leather stains which I picked out.

I originally bought this for my friend's blackjack school. I couldn't reach across the table to point at the cards, which helped, and I could punch him in the arm if he made a mistake. Then we tied a string to its end at home and now it's my cat's favorite toy in the world. However, after sending myself the wrong item twice, I concluded that they had run out of high quality materials and they were using cheap outsourced materials to make more. It's garbage. Update: 2 years later the pen was completely unpacked. This has had little use, so it will likely fall apart after a year of heavy use.
