I was hoping that this would be the end of it all as I had to constantly clean the one that came with my Shark but unfortunately that is not the case. If they are not trimmed, the suction power will decrease. I had to cut off both the felt and sponge filters to get normal suction power out of my vacuum again. Well, at least I have two more before I bite the bullet and buy the originals. :-(

I have a Shark Rotator XL Professional, model NV90. The foam filters are a bit big for that. You will bend, it's foam so it fits. My biggest complaint is the noise! My vacuum was quiet and after owning it for a few years I decided it was time to buy new filters instead of just cleaning them. Holy mole, the sudden change in sound was awful! I used to be able to talk to someone while cleaning. Now I can't even hear myself think or speak with the new filters.
