Great filter just remember to attach hose to fittings

Urgently need an under counter filter as my last filter is worn out and broken . That works great. Only the supplied blue hose is quite stiff as it is made of plastic. It pretty much stays in the folded position as shown in the product photo so I had to trim it to fit the filter where I wanted it. The manual also says you have to press hard to make sure it's locked. I even pulled on the hose to make sure it was secure. Needless to say, if you still notice a small drop, you should probably press

Efficient and economical

We recently moved into a new home with community plumbing. After 34 years of great tasting well water, the taste and smell of chlorine was really noticeable. We originally planned to install a faucet mounted filter (e.g. PUR) but this was not possible with a pop up jet faucet. Some of the competing filters either reduced the flow rate or required drilling the countertop to install a second faucet. The reviews about it were positive, so we gave it a try. It was easy to install and offers very…

Connected to filtered water in RV

I bought a drinking water filter for my mobile home. I have a reverse osmosis system that I installed in my kitchen that has large screw-on containers and always seems to spill water when changing the filter. I didn't want it in my RV so I figured it would work fine. Now I don't understand why it is sold to filter all cold water, why do you need it? If you only drink water, it will last much longer. I clicked on the plastic T-connector in the RV's cold water line (1/2 inch CTS, which is 5/8 the

Clean Water, Easy DIY Project

slight sulfur smell from my tap water and this one Filter takes care of that and also produces crystal clear water. Prior to this filter, I used a faucet filter that fitted in a glass of water or ice, but was a bit annoying to use because it severely restricted water flow while this system allows water to flow at normal pressure. This system is also more cost effective as its 6 month filters are a few bucks more expensive than the faucets I change out every few months. Installation was easy…

Great value / easy installation, overall works great

Overall great value for money, very happy with it. It seems to filter the water quite well overall, not as good as the Every Drop filter in our fridge but still very good. It reduces the water pressure a bit - not much but I can tell. Also, the mounting bracket under the cabinet is a bit cheap, and I hate cheapness in any product. It works, it's just a thrifty design. It appears to be made of FRN material similar to fiber reinforced nylon. It has two oblong mounting holes - these allow you to…

Works well. for plumbing

Update: Exactly 5 years and 1 month after installation, water spontaneously spouts from blue supply pipes. Luckily I was home to turn off the water and clean up the mess. One star deducted________________________________ It was fairly easy to install. Like some of the other reviewers, I didn't push the blue hose into the filter mount hard enough, and at first water splashed all over the place. When I tried harder and secured the feed tube, everything worked. I'm filtering water from a Florida…

Pros
  • NSF certified standard 42
Cons
  • Doubtful

Our city water was getting worse and worse because of the strong chlorine taste. Filtered water in the fridge is great, but it takes forever to fill jugs or anything other than a small glass of water. If your fridge doesn't have a water dispenser, this is the solution. We recently had triplets, made baby food from a jug and wanted to be able to use filtered water. I was skeptical about this device because of the price but decided to try it believing that we can always replace the standard…

Pros
  • QUICK REPLACEMENT. The filters in this system are easy to install, requiring only a quarter turn for quick replacement.
Cons
  • Expensive.

Minor installation issues but the filter does what it says

This under sink filtration system made attractive claims that motivated me to try it: easy to use. installed (reportedly takes less than 30 minutes) and does not require a separate faucet (works through an existing cold water faucet). In addition, it was claimed that one still had "full water flow". But is it really like that? Such claims often turn out to be marketing rather than reality. I added this filter to a kitchen sink with a wet bar so there wasn't much room under the cabinet and I…

Pros
  • Installs in under 30 minutes and offers a 6 month filter life
Cons
  • Requires an electrical outlet
