Ridiculated - Swimming

Terribly made fun of. It's like putting the hood of a car on your feet and trying to swim with it. If you need a monofin for training, just buy a mermaid tail. That works great. There is no flexibility in this. I didn't feel bad about returning it because it was already water-stained, so I know I wasn't the first. I was disappointed because I wanted another challenge in my education. Must be done with a little more flexibility.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not satisfied with everything

Too rigid and almost not resistant to the leg

The problem with this monofin is stability and flexibility. It's big, heavy and tough. However, it is held to your feet by a black elastic band that is pressed against your heels. It always looks like it's going to fall. Not to mention it's a bit big for a swim lane. It's boring too. I have a silicone monofin that is heavier than this but somehow lighter? I do not recommend this monofin. The cheaper the better.

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Good quality but doesn't match Fin Folk Mermaid Tail

Overall a very good quality monofin, very large, sturdy and fits my 6ft comfortably. I bought this monofin to use on the Fin Folk Productions tail. Although this monofin is on the list of monofins that fit their tails, this particular product is MUCH larger to fit. I would recommend going straight to the Fin Folk site to buy a monofin because when I bought a Finisshooter monofin there I had no problems with it.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Unusable features

I love Finis and thank God there is one.

I love Finis and thank goodness there is a company that designs and manufactures this product. I have almost all of this company's products and ended up buying this one with my eyes closed because I trusted the company and their products. But this product really disappointed me. I bought this item in USA and am using it in Turkey now. Now I can't use the product because the leg shells broke in the first week of use. As I am based in Turkey there are no free returns. I need Sons of Revain LLC…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • boring packaging

Bought two for me and a friend to get in a bit of shape and also for the upcoming cosplay. One managed to last almost two months with regular weekend use. Both suffered the same damage despite proper care. We managed to learn the basics of monofin swimming with them, but eventually damage (cracks on the outer fingers splitting the plastic/rubber seal on the fingertips) slowed learning and functional training. You can still stagnate. Carefully. Get some Kahn or e6000 gum glue if you want them to

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Do not buy! Updated: But the customer service is top notch!

After just over a month of use, the rubber boots tore off. There is no strap to replace - the rubber on the side has started to adjust to the tip. Today is exactly the 37th day since purchase. These are ridiculous. Complete garbage. Do not buy! Update August 4, 2018: Contact directly from the FINIS website. Required to provide proof of purchase and a photo of the problem. After that they immediately sent me a new monofin. Five Star Customer Service! No complaints here. I hope this continues…

So much fun! - Sport

My first monofin! I've wanted to get into monofins for a long time and that's where I started. It was very funny. I've been taking this snorkel with me every weekend for two years. I recommend practicing your dolphin jump in the pool, bringing good quality clear pool goggles (Speedo Vanquishers or Tyr Nests) and going for a butterfly walk - you won't be stopped. I think it's worth the price if you are going to use it. Finis makes other models that I'm going to try now after breaking this one…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Great idea, terrible design

When I bought this fin I wasn't expecting perfection. I wanted to improve my dolphin kick so I thought this would be a great place to start. I was very, very wrong. While I can understand what Finis is trying to do here, I was disappointed not only with the craftsmanship but also with the construction of the fin itself. For starters, for the $80+ price tag, I really expected a little over two grand. rubber attached to a large piece of plastic. I could probably make something in a similar style…

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Flaws

Minimum quality. just relax in the pool.

I personally wanted to use it for freediving in the ocean but it really isn't a fin for that sort of thing. I sent it back as soon as I had a test ride in the pool. I think this is a decent (definitely the best) product for recreational pool swimming. Biggest complaint: The plastic is very thin. (Neither am I an athlete with strong legs). I tried the Finis Trainer which I modeled thinking it was TOO stiff for me, but this one is very uneven and deforms a lot with each impact. The strap design…

Pros
  • Best in its niche

  • I will add later
