The bow tie is TOO SMALL!

The hammock is good but the rain cover is too small to withstand more than light watering. The hammock was soaked in the minutes of rain

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Great way to climb into a camping hammock

This cover with a small extra tarp worked great to protect me from bad weather on a summer camping trip in Maine. Some friends in the tent got very wet when the earthen cloth was loosened and flooded them. I stayed dry

  • Durable surface

VERY HELPFUL. in Camping

2-day high-altitude pseudo-survival camping. We had 2 of these hammocks, both worked fine. I'm 6'00", weigh 200 lbs and moved a LOT at night. The hammock survived. The rain cover isn't exactly what I would want for this application, but it survived 1 thunderstorm and light rain. next night Overall much better than I expected for the money.

Defective camping hammock

Either defective or not reliable at all. I ordered 2 of these and opened on March 12th. It is now May 15th just 2 months later and one of them broke completely while my son was in it. My son injured his back pretty badly in the fall, it was very fortunate that he wasn't suspended from a great height. He is 9 years old, only about 50 pounds. I think I have a defective one because my other one is holding up well. The hammock was not misused in any way, it just lay in it. My son is so sad right…

Pros
  • Good marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Very expensive

This hammock is designed for one person.

I really love how simple this whole sleep system is and how it all fits into a connected stack of things sewn into a hammock. The material is fairly flimsy and the greens work well if you don't want to draw attention to your seat. I think the tree straps should be a bit longer and the rope will work, but should be replaced with paracord for durability. Useful tip: by tying an elastic thread to the inner fluorescent loops, you protect the mesh from insects.

Ok but the straps that came with the kit were disappointing

I finally managed to install three different hammocks I just bought, this one was a good price for a set with a cover. When I installed the other two they had 10 foot straps with 16 loops + 1 for connection points. This makes planting trees of different sizes at different distances from each other easy, even for my children. But this one had two 10ft straps with a loop on each end. There are ways to double wood and such, but I just ordered different straps so my kids could do it quickly. If I…

Great price, good quality. Get your own straps

That actually came with a ridiculous amount of stuff. It had a built in bug net which is very important. Came with a tarp and stakes which came in handy when it was raining crazy. They also came with wooden straps that were relatively short. I'd recommend getting your own harnesses if you're camping or going camping where you can just snag other harnesses on a whim. The price was great. I bought an ENO hammock for $50 which was just a hammock and was the same quality but with no netting or…

Great value here at Cribs & Hammocks

Overall great value for money I slept well in this hammock but have only used it one night so far. It comes with an elastic band that stretches from one end of the hammock to the other - there are two small loops inside the hammock at each end. Attaching an elastic band to them will hold the mesh and keep it away from your face. Doesn't seem to be super durable. But it survived a weekend of heavy use for me. Sometimes the zipper gets stuck in the fabric, but that's true of many hammocks. One…

poor design With dangerous safety/quality issues

For $40 I think it's a decent setup but we'll use something a little better due to the following safety/quality issues with this poorly made hammock: Seams: These Hammock is only sewn with single stitches. Strings break everywhere. Arrived from the manufacturer with the bug net already torn from the seam. The bug net itself is also a fairly fragile material, I have a different brand hammock with the bug net attached which is a much stronger mesh material. In addition, my daughters have…
