The price of the filter was great. The mounting jig was unsuccessful, but I simply cut off the threaded nipple and used my old mounting nut. All is well.

Doesn't quite fit, works but doesn't fit at all, the cap really isn't designed to hold the filter in place, had to tape it in place. I have a craftsman 5 hp. 12 gallons.

It wasn't exactly the same as the one that came out of the vacuum but it works. I'm not happy with the way it attaches to the vacuum cleaner, it seems a bit flimsy compared to the old configuration. But it works.

This filter fits perfectly and works well. It is much stiffer than a traditional paper filter which disintegrates when wet. You must use the 'nut' provided as this filter will not allow the factory caps and nuts to work. I would recommend this item.

Had to remove the top handle to fit my 16 gallon Craftsman block. My filter is held in place by a washer and a wing nut. With this filter, the disc is not required, but the handle on the end must be removed. not too complicated, but definitely not a direct replacement.

This filter is not suitable for DIY vacuum cleaner both ends must be fully open and this one is closed on one end and the other open I recommend To all Revain Buyer: If you need a replacement filter for a shop vacuum, go to Sears and get the right one.

I hate giving one star to a product that is good except for one major flaw but nobody reads three star reviews. The nut that comes with the replacement filter will fail if the filter gains some weight during use. If you vacuum something in this case, you'll end up with a dust storm and a mess. Luckily I kept the original threaded nut, which works great. If you do not have the original, you will need to order a suggested replacement wing nut from Sears. This will save you a lot of hassle.
