Love them and they are MINE and MINE ONLY!

NOBODY MAY LIVE MY NEW SEWING SCISSORS! Do not cut paper, cardboard, wire, plastic, or anything other than fabric. These are MY SEWING SCISSORS and they will stay in MY SEWING BOX and anyone who tries to borrow them will be scared to death. CLEAR?

Pros
  • Excellent overall equipment
Cons
  • Empty

They hold up well, good for craft supplies

It would be a little easier to cut a lot of fabric if the tape grippers were adjusted a few degrees more. I think this is the fourth Fisher I've had in 25 years. All are still in use by me. I have sewn more than I have in the last 10 years so new sewing scissors are lighter than my old ones that have been used for other crafts and are worn out. Good value for money.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble
Cons
  • It worries me

I have several Fiskars scissors that are at least 35 years old and I wanted to replace them. I've tried Fiskars The Original Orange Handled Scissors, 8" but was frustrated with the technique. My biggest concern is the durability of the plastic handle/hinge assembly. Fiskars 01-005437 Heritage 8" sewing scissors appear to be a closer replacement.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Good but not great

The best sewing scissors I've used since the 80's!

*Someone* borrowed my scissors from a seamstress, so I needed new ones just for sewing. I've only been using Fiskars since the 80's when I had an independent design business. Everyone in my family is told never to use anything other than sewing/fabric projects as they go bad - I couldn't cut fabric with a cheap pair from another brand I've had for ages (obviously not. I lose them not, but mine. The Fiskars are gone, herrumph!) I'm very happy to have my Heritage sewing scissors back and they're…

Fantastic Finnish general purpose scissors

Nothing to say about these scissors other than they cut well, feel good and look nice. I've used them both on paper, card and fabric to great effect. They suit me pretty well when I need to split something in two. Should the quality deteriorate over time I will make the necessary updates in the future, but given the design I have nothing negative to report.

Pros
  • Specially designed Swedish stainless steel blades will not rust or dull
Cons
  • Has been damaged

Robust stainless steel blade!

These scissors were purchased solely to cut fabrics such as cotton, linen, canvas and wool. These scissors work precisely and easily, their blade glides easily and without jamming over the fabric. It has a very sharp stainless steel blade, so I don't recommend it for use with children. They are made in Finland and are overall working scissors that are perfect for cutting various materials and will likely last you a lifetime. The only drawback are the plastic handles, hence 4 stars, otherwise…

Pros
  • Patented blade sharpening technology provides a strong sharp edge that cuts to the point
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

They don't even come close to Ginghers

I bought a pair of these and a pair of Gingher 8" tailor's scissors at the same time because they were too a price. I have always used Fiskars and have always been very satisfied (two layers of fabric have long been beautifully cut). But let me tell you that after 2 weeks of heavy cutting (we make cloth masks) Ginghers is the only pair of scissors I will be using, they cut through 8 layers of cloth like butter. The Fiskars only had to keep up on the first day. Now they are boring and almost…

Pros
  • Perfect for cutting a variety of materials including silk, denim and layered fabrics
Cons
  • Long delivery time
