Good scissors make the best cutting tools

I've tried taking a piece of tape and putting it on but it really doesn't stick that well. Maybe if you press really hard, but it seems to stick to its non-stick label. They are also just very good scissors in general. Happy with the purchase.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • No paint needed

The coating is ideal for cutting sticky materials

I have been using these scissors for a number of years. In my work I have to cut many different types of ribbons. The coating is ideal for cutting self-adhesive materials. Note. Something I learned years ago: when you cut self-adhesive material like masking tape, duct tape, etc., cut it sticky side up.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Without automatic

Non-stick coating my eye. They arrived greasy and sticky despite being in tamper evident packaging. They were also difficult to open and close, and there was a dull, tight feel between the blades. Fiskars is not what it used to be. I returned them and bought an 8 inch orange handled primary shears through Revain for a small price. The primary scissors are very good and are reminiscent of one I bought at 99 cents many years ago.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Good scissors

In general, I find all Fiskars excellent - both in quality, and in materials, and in price. They probably fall a little short of "excellent" and I found them a bit "difficult" to work with. I like the "curved" style - and I have other Fiskars of this style that I like better, although the others don't have the non-stick coating. Maybe "hard" work is the "price" of nonstick coating - not sure. Overall, you can't go wrong with Fiskars products - and they're backed by a lifetime guarantee.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Best scissors yet

We had the unfortunate service of removing my 25 year old Fiskars. While I couldn't estimate how many cuts the old couple made, I'm sure it was a great bunch of cuts, from paper to plastic, from heavy cardboard to dog hair and more. The old ones were sent to the garage, and the new ones took over the center box. After a few days of use they have all the good things the old ones had minus the non-stick coating and the curvature. I don't think non-stick scissors existed in 1985. What's surprising

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubt

Make Duct Tape

I use Fiskars 8" curved non-stick scissors and Fiskars 5" non-stick scissors to work with tape. Few things stick like sticky tape, but these non-stick scissors from Fiskars cut straight through tape as if it were nothing more than paper. Try making a few straight cuts through the tape with regular scissors if you dare. Very little tape sticks to these scissors, even when working on large projects, and you can remove any tape very easily with a quick wipe of a rag or a single wipe of clean tape.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive
