Glass is best okay. When you look inside, you seem to be in a house made of mirrors. Difficult to explain. If you surround the mirror glass with black plastic it won't stick unless you put lots of sealant on the old mirror first. I wish there were better options.

We got passenger and driver mirrors and they both fit perfectly. The sticky foam that came with them was perfect for sticking one of them to an existing broken mirror. There was no second mirror so we had to get creative to glue it to the inside of the case but it fit so perfectly it still looks like it came in the car.

Fits my 1999 Buick Regal. It may have sticky tabs and unfortunately when I put the mirror on the old one they didn't stick. I bought my own separate glass mount. tape and it works perfectly. It also has some sort of adhesive strip on the back of the glass which I assume allows you to tell which glass is on the driver or passenger mirror. I tried scraping it off but that didn't help. stir

This mirror is too large to be glued INSIDE the black plastic frame/border around the existing mirror. Instead, the edges of this mirror rest on a black plastic frame/rim that leaves a large air gap between the back of this mirror and the existing mirror. There needs to be some "cutting" around the edges to allow this mirror to rest on top of the existing mirror. For reference, this review is for a Buick Regal 01 with heated mirrors. I was looking for an inexpensive and easy way to fit a side mirror to my 1999 Buick Regal. I searched and found just one mirror face on anazona and ordered it. I would not recommend this solution for a heated mirror like mine. A heated mirror contains a liquid that conducts electricity to heat it and can damage the paintwork, and it's almost impossible to remove the mirror's old finish without splashing the car, leaving ugly stains on a lightweight car.
