European style mirrors in mirrors and accessories

Bought two of these as cheap replacements for my old car - they look decent while they lasted about 6-8 months, only one issue is the tyres. The accordion between the mirror and the base only lasted ONE month and fell apart. Like he was made out of ashes. I live in New Mexico - the sun is hot but not enough to ruin my wellies in a month! In general, the mirror is normal, nothing more.
