Good shoe with some limitations

Background: Before I bought this shoe, I was using Sidi Dominator SPD style MTB shoes on my road bike, size 46. I ordered Fizik R1s in size 45 based on the recommendations of the Size Chart. They fit great and don't need to be broken in. I like the BOA fastener because it is much easier to use than my old ratchet style Sidi fastener. The only downside is that when you start rolling the BOA, the material around the BOA flexes and folds in a way that doesn't look visually appealing. Otherwise…

Wrong size. the best in athletics

Nice shoes! I ordered as per the previous comments and was disappointed with the fit. I wear 10.5 US shoes, my old Sidis are 45 EUR but Fiz'ik says I should wear 44. So I ordered 44. The fit was too small! My fingers touched the fingertips, personal preferences are uncomfortable. I returned it the same day and ordered a size larger. Two days later I had the 45s and they fit great! The only problem is that the shoes arrived in a Fiz'ik shoebox with broken seals. The newer Pais didn't come in a…

Excellent power transfer in comfortable shoes - large size.

It took me too long to upgrade my old Sidi Ergo 5 and wanted something with Boa dials. I'm usually very brand loyal and the Sidi suits my foot shape very well, but the Fizik Infinito was too good to pass up. The fit is very similar to the Sidi (I have a slightly narrower foot with a high arch) but be careful with the sizing. I carry 45 in Sidi but I needed 44 in Physics. The biggest difference lies in the power transmission with the full carbon sole, especially when climbing. The disadvantage…

Great boot! Rigid and Light

My feet took a while to get used to these boots but overall they feel very stiff, light and quality. The insole they come with is pretty bad, but I don't blame Fizik because it's impossible to create a shoe that fits everyone perfectly. I replaced the insole with a carbon insole from Tread Labs and it's much more comfortable. My only complaint is that the 2nd BOA crank (closest to the front of the shoe) tightens the wire that sits right over the bone that's sticking out at the top of my foot. I

10/10 would buy these shoes again. Great bike shoes.

Excellent shoes. For comparison, I've been wearing the same pair of $100 road cycling shoes since about 2010. Fit wise they were probably more comfortable for my first ride than the shoes I wore for 7 years. When wearing shoes that fit well, I usually go wide or even double if it's a dress shoe. I had no issues with them, and while I was skeptical of the front boa's marketing for "volume control,” it actually accommodates my wider feet very well. There is some soft rubber on the heel that keeps

  • Appearance

While these are great shoes, I can't help but feel like something is missing. Maybe it's because I haven't blasted them fully, but there are a few glaring issues worth noting. Pros: Dual BOA tensioners are great for a custom fit. The shoes are narrow enough to prevent overstretching of the metatarsal bones. but doesn't pinch toes or create hot spots - Sole is very stiff but not too hard and has a good medium arch to support foot - Fits true to size (I wear Nike 11, Euro 44 is perfect for me)…

Phenomenal on shoes

First impression, very satisfied 170 pounds; 6 feet high; slim physique; Amateur. Difficult foot landing - low arch and a condition similar to bursitis. One leg seems longer and wider than the other. I've been wearing Sidi for a long time. Very durable and beautiful - unbeatable. My last pair was Sidi Push. king of chic; I smiled every time I put them on. And you can toss them in the washing machine over and over again and they come out almost brand new. But the fit isn't the best; Comfort is…
