I have used this kit on a number of jobs and have been very impressed. I think I got lucky but didn't have any spikes spinning on the waves. For the money this set is just a godsend!

I used it once, it paid for itself in one use. This worked well, but I agree with the other reviewer that the tip can detach from the shaft depending on the design.

I have used two probes from the set 3 times and the tips broke off the rods and started spinning preventing the tool from shutting down the shredder. I don't know if all other tool makers of this type use a two piece stem if they plan on having problems with that as well. A quality way to make this tool would be if the rods were one solid piece with a slotted end at the end, rather than two pieces. The other set is made in the same way. I purchased this tool to remove the shredder valve from the AC service port on the underside of a 2014 Ford Explorer. The main components of the instrument are typically Chinese of low quality, which is what we expected.
