Very quiet. I can't say it's because of the fans. Although I would like to turn off the light. It's not going anywhere, so I didn't notice the light weight. It keeps the X1 Carbon cool and I haven't had any heat issues either before or after using it.

My kid has a good gaming laptop but he always has lag. He was so upset. We tried everything to fix it. Finally we bought one of these and it solved the backlog! I knew overheating was bad for the computer, but I never thought it would affect performance so much. The device itself is small, quiet and absolutely easy to use.

I placed my ATEM Mini Pro ISO on top of a cooler and this lowered the temperature of the air exiting the Mini Pro vent. I measured the air temp before and after by briefly holding the suction cooler to the vent - just long enough to get a reading. The suction cooler is more efficient but very noisy. I'll take it with me if I need it. Mini Pro ISO gets very hot and my first one died. I hope my new cooler will save me from the same fate.

save you money. It's cheaply made. The fans don't blow very hard, my laptop still gets hot, overheats and shuts down. Not impressed at all. I would return it, accepting that the box is already in the bin. Addendum: Well it broke after 2 weeks. The fan just stopped working. So I removed my laptop and picked it up to see what was going on and one of the fans was fully connected to a power supply that just floated there. I can't believe what the hell that was.
