I was looking for a USA made salt grinder and was happy to find one which I bought in April 2020. At first I gave five stars, but over time it just didn't work anymore. It's clean, filled with Himalayan salt crystals, but the mechanism no longer "catches" the salt. I twist and turn, a flake or two comes out, and when I turn it over to see, part of the chopper is clogged with salt. No matter how much I wipe it, it's the same. Great coffee grinder. It's easy to fill out, has a lot of settings available, and works quite well. Also, the cherry finish looks very tough and not as light as the picture, which is a good thing. Easy to use for me and my wife. Highly recommend filling it with delicious Reluctant Trading Tellicherry peppercorns and Icelandic salt (although unfortunately they only contain flake salt so you can't get more than maybe medium coarse salt)

Dirty meters! They seem well made and they fray a lot with every spin, which I like, but the counter is a mess wherever I put it. This pepper grinder is much stronger than the ones I've bought over the years. I wanted someone who would stay with me forever and I hope he will. They said they would replace it if it didn't work. That's enough for me. You can easily adjust the grind level by simply turning the top knob. I usually like finely ground egg in the morning. These salt/pepper grinders offer great value for money. We've bought cheaper grinders for about $17 and regretted it. If you pay less than $30-$40 for a pepper mill, you probably won't be happy with its performance. These Fletcher grinders are well built and grind lots of spices with every spin. My only complaint is that they sometimes leave some pepper salt/pepper dust on the counter when you put them on. However, I think this is a problem with any bottom opening grinder.
