These candles are very light and portable. There is a remote control for all candles, but they can be individually configured for different modes. I have a 20 month old grandson who loves to hang them out the window at night and pick them up in the morning. He proved how durable and unpretentious these candles are. If I need more candles I will buy them again.

This is amazing - the dimming function is handy but we keep maximum brightness as they are outward facing. The shimmer is fantastic. They were packaged so well that it took quite a while to get the candles out of their individual boxes and bubble wrap. I have attached two photos taken within seconds of each other. One push of a button on the remote control and they turn on. One more push, everyone's gone. Excellent purchase.

update for christmas 2019: i still love these candles! Put them in my windows, turn them on with the remote after dark, set them for 8am, after that I never have to think about them again. The batteries lasted the 4 weeks they were used and I was tempted to leave them on all the time next year to see how long the batteries actually last. I bought these with the intention of putting them in my windows as Christmas decorations. On the plus side, they look good in person (the wax finish is much better than bare plastic) and the shimmer effect is nice. It took me 6 candles to light up the front windows with some festive light but I didn't want to spend my life savings on it. These candles were just what I needed. Putting the batteries in the candles was very easy and I love the flickering effect. You can turn off the flickering effect with the remote control and also adjust the lamp intensity.
