These 10" tall shimmering plastic candles look very pretty as window decorations. I was pleased with the quality of the wax covered candles. All individually packed in a protective bubble wrap in a cardboard box. Everything worked out of the box. They don't flicker like real candles (they don't) but for an LED candle they look good and are quite bright. From a distance (e.g. the street) they look very realistic. With the included remote control you can set the time and duration of the enclosure, and if they are activated at different times, the candles will "flicker” at different intervals, making them more realistic. The remote had a range of about 10-15 feet. We bought a dozen of these and they were used 6 hours a day, seven days a week for a little over a month. All the time they worked like new (each powered by two AA lithium batteries). The 10 inch height was perfect to be placed on the windowsill so that it could be clearly seen through the window from the street in front of the house. The bases were stable and the candles didn't fall off. For long-term storage, remove the batteries to avoid damage. If you're looking for "safe" window candles that look pretty realistic, I highly recommend them!
