Small but very buoyant

Small but floats thanks to a heavy metal ring that is attached to the floating dock post in my harbor so it doesn't get stuck in the water at high tide when docked

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Legacy model

Great little line float

I used these for my paint lines on my canoe at the end just before the loop. A half or 3/8 inch rope goes through nicely and a knot on each side keeps them in place. Adds just enough weight when you drop the line and when it lands in the water it floats and is easy to grab.

Pros
  • Consistent results when tested
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok

Works great with paracord

I use paracord with this rope float. I tied knots near each end of the hole in the float to keep it from slipping. Works perfectly! In case anyone is wondering, it's hard plastic. Do you know how hard the plastic at the bottom of a soda bottle is? Hardness is like that.

Pros
  • Very good price

  • Some cons

Works great albeit for non-traditional uses

I bought two of these for less frequent use. and they did great! I made my own "goals" to train our goats lol. I glued them to the ends of the dowels and used them as clicker targets. Our goats are pretty destructive, they've tried chewing and gnawing on targets, but these things are indestructible.

  • Nice packaging

Tiny. - Docking and anchoring equipment

I read several reviews and many said that it is not enough. It's definitely not enough. Less than I thought, even after reading the instructions. It gets the job done, but I would have preferred a larger item. It keeps the rope afloat, but at this size it doesn't hold up well once we start moving quickly. We're still using until I find a bigger one, but I'll definitely consider the size.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Almost never

Perfect with Kayak Anchor

So far so good, I use it to keep my galvanized 5lb anchor from sinking to the bottom of the lake and trust me because I'm a Khan, who previously rolled it up on a kayak I threw it completely into the water, and the float saved me from completely losing the anchor and fishing line. I'll set up a second one just so my heavy anchor won't drag it to the bottom of the lake, no. I recommend this product, it's really useful

Kayak Mooring Buoy

I used this as a buoy on my kayak's mooring line. I will be using my anchor on a sandbar and don't want people tripping over my line so this buoy should work perfectly. It's plastic, not styrofoam, which is what I wanted. I uploaded some photos so you can see the size of the buoy. I used 1/4" diameter rope and there is enough room in the buoy hole to pass the line multiple times. I hope you found this helpful! I will update my review if the buoy leaks.

Pros
  • fun
Cons
  • boring packaging

Do not buy if using anchor float

Update: I originally thought this was a great product. Small. Easy to attach to 1/2" or smaller anchor line. But I got into trouble on the river and threw the rope in the water to turn on the motor, pick up the rope with a pole and pull upstream. Well. The anchor line and the Swimmers went underwater and no one else saw them It doesn't have enough buoyancy to even reach the end of a light rope to the surface in a light current less than 2mph Lost a $70 anchor

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Secret

MUCH smaller than expected

Probably my fault for not getting the dimensions on the bottom, but this float is fragile. It must be no more than 6 inches long and 3 or 4 inches wide with about a 3/8 inch hole for the rope. I was hoping to use it on a ski or snorkel towline behind a boat to prevent the line from being pulled into the jet pump inlet, but it's just not the regular sized pool lanyard you see in pools ( about half the size of those), but a towline cable doesn't even go through. Okay, a few bucks burned, I thinkโ€ฆ
