The shoes were a little loose for my metatarsal son, he had to wait a few months before he could wear the shoes. This shoe is very comfortable and durable. I have bought this style for my son for his school uniform for the past 4 years. The front foot doesn't wear out quickly even though their school yard was concrete so other shoes would wear out the front. He would wear these shoes all year round if it weren't for the rungs.
