🚰 1 Micron Sediment Water Filter Cartridge - FLOW-PRO 1M-4PK 4-Pack Review

These are our replacement cartridges for the irrigation system in our freestanding greenhouse. They seem to work well and that's why we order them regularly.

They filter beer pretty well. Anyway, they leave enough yeast for bottling if you don't keg them. We quickly dive into the Starsan, shake it off, put a CO2 purge in the filter housing and filter the beer. Cheap and effective for the beers you want to filter.

I bought these and I usually use a 5 micron filter on my system. They definitely had a different "feel". I think I had more pressure in my system pre-filter and didn't want to risk damage, so I went back to my 5 micron filter.

Received today. There were no factory labels on the filters, just a printed label from the label manufacturer. I received the first 4 packs I ordered as shown in the picture. Anyone else know? send back. To update. Ordered again and again and received the same generic filters. They are about 3/16" long. The seller is a scam. DO NOT BUY!

Works great, after just a week I was extremely annoyed with the amount of dirt and the color of the sediment in the filter. I'd say maybe it works too well, but I'd rather change the filter more often than have all this junk in my water. At this price you can definitely afford to change the filter more often.

After 200 gallons of running city water, this is the color of a Manila envelope after passing the water through a 10 micron rotary filter. The pressure and flow doesn't decrease noticeably for 1/4". Hopefully the carbon doesn't clog up that quickly. I expect it to be a lot better than just 10 microns just for the color due to blocked impurities.

These filters fit well and are easy to install. Unlike other filters I've used, they appear to be made from tightly wrapped paper and that's where the problem lies. When first installed they work great, after being saturated for about a month the filters start to let sediment through. What used to be clear water is turning cloudy brown water. Filters let sediment through and need to be replaced. So they work, but not as long as the others I've used.

We drink water from our cistern (water from gutters in the tropics, not in the US). We filter the water we drink with these filters. If we drink unfiltered water we are likely to get Giardia, but with these filters we will never have this problem. If we notice an unpleasant aftertaste in the water, we change the filter, but in our case this rarely happens due to the strong clarification in the tank. With us, the filter life is about 9-12 months.

We have a 130 meter deep well. We're still getting a lot of very fine sediment. I have been using this brand for 4 years now. I change it on the first of every month, then the filter turns very brown and the water pressure in the shower starts to drop. Out of curiosity, I cut a couple of used filters in half with a saw and the discoloration runs through the filter. It's 1 micron, so they'll capture MORE sediment than a 5 or 10 micron filter.
