Flowmaster 817568 Muffler Review

Love it! Fits like a glove. It takes about 2-3 hours depending on your garage setup and the ease of the tools. The sound isn't overly aggressive, but it doesn't feel like ap$&@$ either. Smell after driving and some high revs ;) but it's just paint (I didn't have enough for the most expensive one so I cheated)

Fit perfectly. Take the time to align the grooves so the twin tubes are straight at the back. Sounds perfect, not too loud, but cold starts sound good and there's really no buzz, just hoarse and healthy. Much better than stock. Sounds like a V8 should sound. The installation took me about an hour. The only complaint is that the price dropped from $399 to $353 right after ordering the muffler.

If you want great sound with no frills or a terrible boom at highway speeds, this is for you. The delivery was incredibly fast. I installed it so can't tell how difficult it is, but the installer said it wasn't difficult with a lift. It just sounds good. At speed on the Autobahn you hear a little more than at the factory, but you can still talk, make phone calls, drive hungover (laughs). etc. without being disruptive.

So this is only my second Flowmaster muffler. The last one I had was a lot louder and creakier than this one. It's just right for the boy or girl who enjoys the sound of their V8, doesn't want to lose low-end torque and doesn't want too many complaints from neighbors. 2013 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi Handyman. First of all, super fast shipping and great packaging. I wanted a little more sound than the stock muffler, but not too loud so I couldn't enjoy music or a good conversation while driving. Easy to install. As easy as you make it. Low budget folks, no ramps, no hand tools -> this is going to be a "fun 1.5 hour project" for folks with elevators and bludgeons. I'd say it's like any YouTube, "install in 15 minutes". The sound is impressive; still not disgusting. There is a buzz. Looks like it should have come from the factory. There is no rumble, if you sit on it you can hear it. The only point of criticism is that the paint on the Flowmaster is not even primed, after installation
