Flowmaster Super 44 dual inlet/outlet muffler

Sounds good at idle but not too loud until you hit the ground or put it in gear and it sounds fantastic. Equipped with a 1997 Silverado C1500 5.7L, true dual exhaust and short headers with 4" tips.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Not bad

Great for dueling exhaust

I had a cat back dueling exhaust that sounded good but soon became quite annoying, every time I noticed it was too loud. I installed Flowmaster 44 and it's a big improvement. Still the same guttural sound, but without the gurgling.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Good but not great

Only for sound, not for performance

IDK when all stainless steel paint peels off and magnet sticks to it. Sounds great, and that's in the 2017 Nissan Titan. To update. engine speed changed. The truck didn't like that muffler. I've since uninstalled it and installed Magnaflow, no more RPM issues.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Only available in black

If you want louder.

Put this on a Chevy 2000 2500 6.0 twin muffler. The duals were behind the rear wheels. It's a little louder than expected. Drones are around 1800 RPM, which translates to a cruising speed of 55-60 mph. I'm afraid it will be too much if I pull a pontoon boat. I have to wait and see.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥

Good choice for a 454

Just installed this on my 1996 Suburban K2500 with a 454. I like the sound of it. Good deep tone. I'm not sure I would call it noisy; it is a soft tone. For my standard cats, that's a good average volume. Loud enough to hear well, but not loud enough to honk your horn on the freeway. Note: The muffler I received was painted silver, not black.

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Nothing here

Super 44 exhaust muffler

Great sounding dual exhaust muffler for rough terrain and too quiet for my liking. I could barely hear the exhaust so I did some research and the Super 44 was what I was looking for as far as I read and made a video to show the sound. Small rumble at 1700-2000 rpm. A great sounding exhaust, but it's not just fun and can't be a daily driver.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
