Description of Fluorescent Powder Blacklight Pigment Projects

BRIGHT GLOW UV-reactive fluorescent pigment is a special pigment powder that glows under blacklight (UV). The granulation of the fluorescent UV reactive powder pigment is 3-5 microns and can be mixed with various materials and solutions (based on water). Water based – Pigment powder works perfectly with water-based mediums like acrylic paint to create endless fluorescent dye paintings. For best results mix fluorescent neon powder with a transparent medium such as clear nail polish, paint, glue, resin, rubber, glass and much more. The mixing rate of this fluorescent UV reactive pigment powder color with other substances is between 3-5% (example: 3 grams of color pigment powder per 100 grams of paint). USEUL for-UV-reactive fluorescent pigment can be used in combination with different paints to create fluorescent paints, art, printing inks, aerosol paints, PVC coloring, markings, interior decorations in clubs / showrooms / bowling halls, day-night transition visual effects, 3D effects and dual images. NON-TOXIC - UV reactive coloring pigment is non-toxic and non-radioactive. The UV pigment powder is made from substances that do not harm the environment or the health of the user (it can be used even by children). The UV powder paint pigment does not lose its color properties and intensity over time. The neon acrylic pigment comes in packs of 3.5 oz (100 grams) and is available in yellow, white, red, green, orange and blue. With 3.5 oz(100 grams) of pigment powder can be combined with up to 70.5 oz(2 kilos) of paint.

Misleading and disappointing blacklight pigment

As an avid lover of Arts and Crafts, I was excited to try out this blacklight pigment to add some magic to my paintings .Unfortunately the pigment was not at all what I expected. The powder was clumpy, MAKING it difficult to mix with water, and the "fluorescent" effect was minimal, to say the least. I was sorely disappointed..

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Clumpy texture, minimal fluorescent effect

The powder did not dissolve immediately.

Green powder floats on paint. I had to use a flat 1" bit in a drill to mix it into the paint. A week later, when I opened the can and stirred, I noticed dark green dots in the paint. Mixed again, small green dots appear. I had to break them up with a roller and paint over them. I'm talking tiny. I didn't do a camera test to see if computer editing software hates those green dots but I was expecting paint to finish with the new NEON green. The paint looks better than the original paint I put in…

Pros
  • Crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Big and bulky
