Quick and easy replacement. Keep only the mounting screws from the old lamp as the new lamp will not have any. It took me five minutes to change the lightbulbs!

I received this Fluval Edge 21 LED lamp to replace the original lamp that broke. It looks like the manufacturer made some improvements to this flashlight because it looks a little better than the original lamp. The lamp installation took about 15 minutes and just gave my old tank new life.

With a product like this, which is always in close proximity to the water in the aquarium, water was constantly collecting in the clear plastic case and I had to clean it up eventually didn't get into the LEDs and they stopped working in less than 2 months. I wish this product was waterproof as I liked the lights and the night light option.

I am a big fan of Fluval products. I think they are well designed and attractive. The cost estimate is based on the fact that the cost of a spare part accounts for about a third of the cost of a new system. Ease of assembly scores because there are no instructions, no screws, the item was packaged in plain white. Cardboard box with a small label. I ordered this to replace the original lighting structure that came with my 6 gallon Fluval Edge tank. I've had the tank for about 2 years and originally replaced my halogen lights with LED's but they rusted out leaving the light unit unusable. Great product! I gave 4 stars out of 5 because it came with no instructions. I've noticed a few negative reviews about water corrosive lights. However, the original lighting system that came with the tank had the same, if not worse, problem. I have had my pool for over 4 years now and originally used it as a saltwater pool.
