After all, it was then that the first folding knife with such an original name was invented. By the way, Opinel is the name of the founder of the company. And even now these knives proudly wear it. Therefore, having such a knife, you can touch the family heirlooms from France. How Opinel differs from analogues Opinel produces a lot of interesting products, such as cutlery and garden tools. But of course knives are especially popular. The whole secret of Opinel lies in their design and the use of special materials. This became the rule of the manufacturer, which is unshakable to this day. For example, the fact that only natural wood is used in knives for the handle. For this, especially expensive breeds are selected, such as boxwood or bubing. For the blade, the manufacturer chose two materials - Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel and high carbon steel. In the first case, a special mark “inox” can be seen on the blade, and in the second - “carbone”. The steel is high strength and can last almost forever. As for the blade shape of Opinel knives, it depends primarily on the purpose. Knives with a wide range of applications usually have a fairly wide blade with a pointed tip.

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

Got pros: The knife is very simple (due to which it is cheap), but at the same time charismatic and of high quality. He is not afraid of work. It can be seen that the product is not made with a finger. Different cons: The lock is pretty good, but it collects all the dirt from the pocket, which is why it quickly becomes clogged. But if you take care of the knife, there will be no problems.

The product is the most common, it could be worse.

A basic folding bladed knife. Up until he put it to use, he was razor-sharp. I used it to crack open some pistachios, and the blade now has a couple nicks in it that are plain to see.

Pros
  • Easily portable; concise, uncomplicated, and razor-sharp.
Cons
  • Extremely gentle steel blade.

I have 12 Opinel in use, also carbon (stainless steel did not work for me). The knife is excellent, but the size is not small, it is not very convenient to carry with you. Therefore, this miniature was purchased. I am satisfied with the purchase, even just holding it in my hands is pleasant. Opinel did not disappoint.

Pros
  • Opinel quality, compact dimensions
Cons
  • No.
