What you need

I just had to replace the case. I had electronics and a real key. I have previously purchased a pre-placement key fob from another company but it was not as well made or as durable.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • There are defects

Visit YouTube: Interior

Search YouTube for instructions. You may have to almost destroy the old one to disassemble it. Just be careful not to damage the board. Also use a screw to hold the two halves together. I made both of my keychains and they work great.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Disappear

Value 9.99 Good for Keyless Entry

Overall I am incredibly happy with this purchase. It does not come with the motherboard, you need to drill out the plastic rivet on the original key fob and take out the board. I also changed the key blade. The benefit of both of these things is that you don't have to cut keys or reprogram.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Not Sure

Perfect replacement!

Ordered 2 packs to replace original remotes with worn buttons. I found some tutorial videos on how to replace the key/housing. No need to cut new keys when replacing worn knobs. The buttons fold and slide just like the originals, and the knobs work great.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Something different

You do assembly

It was a bit difficult to transfer the necessary parts from the old remote to the new case. The old remote was very difficult to take apart but when it was done it had to be placed in a new case and then the spring had to be twisted in a certain direction and then held there to install the back. Phew, it took a while, but it was worth it. Ours didn't have a "chip" so it didn't need to be moved.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • fits

Things you should know

Replacing the 2011 Kia Soul remote was easy. I've watched various YouTube videos on how to do this. Neither of them mention a small four-way screw that needs to be removed. You will see a screw on the new case. Remove the KIA badge from the old remote control to reveal the four-way screw. This will make the process a lot easier. The circuit board has a small play in the housing. But it tightens up when the remote is fully assembled. Much luck.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Get what you pay for

Does it work? Well, after having to tweak the FOB a bit, turning the factory alarm on and off on a 2011 Kia Soul Plus works. Detach the flat key from the original key fob that won't lock after trying to fold the key. In order for it to work properly, you must use the key blank that comes with the kit to lock the key when it is folded. Would I buy it again? no Would I recommend it to a friend? Not really.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

This key won't cut most places

Those key fobs are useless! Don't waste your money, you really get what you pay for the price. The buttons are completely different. You can't get a replacement key because the placement is too big. Just replace the actual key. Their body looks the same, but the key extraction pin is too big to fit a real key. Went to the dealer and ended up paying about $250 for what I thought they would fix. Waste of time, effort and money. This key fob has the body replaced normally, but you cannot use partโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Good decision shelling out $250

I watched a 5 minute YouTube video and decided to fix both worn out non-working remotes for my 2013 Kia Sportage. As other reviewers have said, you may have to completely demolish your existing hulls. One remote control was easy to replace and works great. The other console was probably the one that saw more use and was pretty much melted down. By destroying the old box I may have compromised the chip. If I had used my manual jigsaw first I probably would have avoided damage. I ended up buyingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I'll text back later
