Too much effort at

Not sharp enough, mostly blunt. This is definitely an ergonomic tool. Due to its bulky size, it's heavier than a tiny seam ripper. The weight wouldn't be an issue if it were sharper. I found my wrist bothered by it due to the size, weight and bluntness factor. I had to try too hard to get the result. Which made my wrist tired and sore.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Style 90

I love this seam ripper

I love this ripper. Lies comfortably in the hand. However, I was hoping that the cutter would be smaller. The size is difficult to tell from the pictures and description. This makes ordering online very difficult and my ability to shop locally is limited. I need something that can rip very small stitches. This Ripper can't do that.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Clarity

Love this ripper! I have severe arthritis which makes it very difficult for me to hold a regular little Ripper. I take off the star because the cap covering the very sharp ripper doesn't hold up at all! I already pierced my finger trying to get it out of the box but I'll definitely live LOL!

Pros
  • Safety ball to protect fabric when removing stitches
Cons
  • Can't remember

WHERE IS RED?

WHERE'S THAT RED? It's smaller than other ergonomic seam rippers. At first I was something confused. I soon learned how to use it and it is gentler than other rippers. My fabric didn't tear with this. Great job Fons & Porter! But I want it to be red like the photo. mine was blue .still a keeper.but i want blush!.please let me know what i need to do to blush.gratitude

Pros
  • Packaging Dimensions: 2.75"(H) x 9.0"(D) x 4.0"(W)
Cons
  • Wrinkled Packaging

Perfect for arthritic hands!

I sew, therefore I embroider. I have arthritis in my hands and even with mediation they start to deform and I have a hard time holding on to things. The last time I had to undo a few seams in a patchwork block, my ripper feels uncomfortable because I can't put my arm around it and only hold it with my index finger and thumb. So I went to my online sewing group and asked for help. It turns out that there is baking soda in my situation. I just searched for "ergonomic seam ripper". This one showed

Pros
  • Ideal for the hand
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model
