🥫 FoodSaver Fresh Food Preserving System Review

Too bad I didn't notice a few days ago that these packages cannot be resealed. I would choose one of the thermal vacuum sealers.

I recommend this freshness device at a very reasonable price. As advertised, it keeps refrigerated (not frozen) and dry foods fresher for much longer. Also in the box was a starter supply of ziplock bags and a very nice resealable container. I'm pleasantly impressed and I think you will be too!

I love this portable FoodSaver! Too many times we didn't seal the cheese bag all the way and the next time we found it moldy. This is a thing of the past with this handy gadget! Now I can make smaller packages so everything stays fresh until you need it. It is also convenient to reseal the opened packaging. The addition of containers was just an added bonus!

To show how well this system works, my wife makes killer guacamole that is ready in hours if just left 'covered' in the fridge. A smaller FoodSaver container can keep your guacuy for several days (if not used - it's really good!). You will receive two containers with lids and a vacuum stand. We have a full FoodSaver system, but it's more container friendly. BTW none of the "explosions" bother me, no matter how hard I try to make them explode, they don't.

It Really Works! Surprise surprise, a vacuum food sealer that actually removes air! Consistently complete your only task! Gave them away and bought a second Food Saver: inexpensive, except like razor blades you need their resealable zip bags. Annoying but worth it. I'm glad I stopped wasting my time. Note. I'm not a heavy user, but it works great on Costco steaks and keeps the cheese from drying out.

A bit noisy but in my opinion this system outperforms the portables I've used so far. And while FoodSaver "recommends" you use their proprietary bags, I've used my old zippered vacuum bags with this system and it works great with them. FoodSaver cans are sealed and fully transparent. The plan is to add a larger canister (ideal for marinating) to the supplied two-piece set. I have had FoodSaver machines for many years and love them. They don't joke about how much money can be saved. Leftovers and "dog food” stay fresh for days, frozen foods and meat for months. I have a small kitchen and although I use it every day, I keep my regular FoodSaver plugged in on a shelf in my pantry. Update: Support responded to me fairly quickly. This module and containers are obsolete and no longer available. They have replaced the containers as they are still under warranty and supplied a newer version (1 version before the current one) of the portable cordless sealer. I'm really impressed to say the least. Edit: A cap doesn't hold the "Remove to Clean Valve" cap that fits over the part you're vacuuming from on top.
