I am disappointed in this purchase, much to my regret because there really is no reason it can't be perfect. However, three of the four components that were delivered (beautifully presented, may I add) had packaging issues. If your hands aren't very steady and you can't concentrate, chances are you won't be able to fit them perfectly. Do not worry. Nobody will notice. The palm rest was easier to install than the trackpad - the separately supplied touchpad is a bit smaller and that's what I preferred to install. Its bezels are slightly smaller than the MacBook's trackpad. So as long as you place it so that there is some space on each side, you're fine. IMPORTANT: The texture is different from the original trackpad.
