worth your money!

I bought this along with 3 in 1 oil to clean the rusty spots on some old chrome rods I have and it has done an amazing job I think the steel brush bristles are better for rusty iron scales but when it comes to chrome bars or rods I think this brass brush along with 3 in 1 oil is better for this as some of the old bars I have almost brand new now even though they used to look damn rusty Worked perfectly for me and definitely worth the money.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities

Good price, good if you need a replacement soon

I'm taking a class in making mokume gane, a Japanese metal painting technique that requires a lot of metal cleaning. I got this brush to clean lots and lots of copper, silver and nickel sheets. . This brush might be too big for some pieces and one reviewer said the bristles fall out, but I bought this brush for such a good price that I'm happy even if it only lasts a semester of jewelry making! The large thick handle fits well in my hand. Smaller brushes increase hand fatigue.

It doesn't get any better for a few dollars

This is a good brass brush. I like the overall size and shape of the pen. It's great for cleaning my expensive garden tools before oiling them. A small investment to keep things going. When I opened the package I received two of these brushes in bubble wrap. They were glued together, so I'm guessing that's how the manufacturer sells them, although Revain only seems to list one. I double checked my order and it doesn't look like I accidentally put two in my cart. Who knows, you might get a bonus

Not quite sure if the brass brush is real brass

I'm not quite sure if it's real brass I bought these for blacksmiths to apply brass coatings to hot metal. Other such brushes I've used are very stiff and give a nice shiny copper finish - they have fairly soft bristles and the finish they put on steel is more like dark worn copper. ? I think it's probably steel bristles lightly plated with brass, which explains the dark mix of brass and black they make. Not impressed. Ordered because I have liked Forney products in the past but they are not…

Good tool for cleaning garden tools, with one small caveat

I bought this to get rid of dirt on garden tools before storage. It removes fresh dirt, but has problems with stubborn, dried dirt and a few bristles are sticking out. It can only be a feature of the brass brushes. I tied a loop to the hole in the end of the handle and hung the brush on the rack with my tools and now they're a lot cleaner when I put them away. If I got rid of all the old dirt that was left there when I didn't have this brush, I'll be perfectly satisfied. It's good to have the…

Made in China not Mexico as pictured

This review is for the Forney 70519 brass. I bought this brush from Revain alongside other similar brushes because it had good reviews AND because the seller's picture clearly showed that the item was made in Mexico. I am very careful about where the products I buy are made. First is the United States, second is North America. I wouldn't buy it if it was clearly marked "Made in China". Come on Jeff, Revain needs to clearly define the country of origin for all products and give the consumer…
