🔧 Forney 70521 Stainless Steel Scratch 0.13 Inch Review

Good quality, hard stainless steel brushes. The handle has enough flexibility to be comfortable and not pull on your knuckles when removing slag.

Wire brushes are needed for major repairs. Bought 7 for work. Some of them were worn but they had the right stiffness and excellent quality.

The brush is junk. I bought this to clean my grill grates. When I run it over the grate, the stainless steel bristles come loose a few times with each hit. I spend more time gathering stubble than anything else. DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS BRUSH.

Received this on recommendation from Meathead's BBQ Book. He claims it works better than most steel-bristled grill brushes and sheds fewer bristles. I've never had the experience of losing bristles and certainly never eaten them, but so far this thing seems to be working pretty well. Robust and yet cheap. I really like that I don't have to replace the patented brush head.

Slightly better than the ones I bought locally for $5 but not sure if they're 1.5x better for their 1.5 -fold price to achieve. Time will tell but as long as they're strong the stainless steel bristles won't fall out of the handle and with light use will instantly bend like some Chinese trash I've seen in the past, so there you have it.
