I really liked this jacket. High quality material. Fits as expected. Unfortunately the velcro around the belly is so far back that it covers my pup's penis. What's the use of taking him for a walk in the rain if he can't relieve himself. Worst of all, it could be engineered to be closer to the front legs.

She is neither thin nor fat. Put on her harness first, then her cape. Luckily the loop of her harness was in the right place for the hole provided (for attaching her leash). I've never taken them in a heavy downpour, but in a light rain it helped a lot. My tummy is a little wet, but that's okay. This should work well for a man too, as the wide Velcro shouldn't get in the way.

The first dog jacket I ordered was too small for my 14 lb Jack Russell, it was too small and was sent back. I reordered Wednesday after seeing how good it is at keeping it dry on rainy hiking days. It fitted much better, but when he had to pee, the middle ledge was too far from his hindquarters and he peed on it. You may want to move the bottom of the jacket closer to the front of the jacket to solve this problem. Well, at least it stays dry upstairs. :)

This jacket is perfect! Very easy to put on my 60lb dog as nothing has to go over the head or paws. You simply place the jacket on the dog's back and then pull a Velcro strap around the chest and another around the waist. So easy! I've walked my dog in the rain a few times and he's stayed dry, plus he had no problem going to the bathroom. Also, the wind didn't blow it away, so it stayed dry. We have a 70 lb Anatolian Shepherd mix. We bought this jacket hoping it would reduce shedding around the house. We sized her based on her girth and it seems to fit perfectly, but every time she stretches (dog down) the velcro opens. I have had this jacket for two months now and would not recommend it to anyone if you have an active or young dog. So I went out and bought about 19 different dog coats for my 11 lb dachshund mix before the rainy season started and this is a winner folks. The soft fleece lining is cozy and provides extra warmth. The outside is still soft but water-resistant. No plastic at all, it feels more like a technical raincoat fabric. The reflective strip is great.
