abominable. Not designed for 30D, 40D or 7D

This eyepiece will not snap onto Canon 30D, 40D or 7D (these are the only cameras I have tried). above the viewfinder. And because it doesn't snap into place, it falls off when the camera is turned upside down or put in a pocket. This eye is not designed for the cameras this seller is offering it for. It's not worth sending back, so throw it in the trash right away.

Looks great - works TERRIBLE! LOST ON THE FIRST SHOT!

I ignored the fact that it's "hard plastic" and worked on it. What I hated was that he kept "falling" off my camera. and did not fit "properly" or tightly. and completely lost during an outdoor wedding photo shoot. I would NEVER sell THIS ITEM from THIS COMPANY. It doesn't have to be "glued" to the camera body, but that's the only way it will remain effective when working hands-free and not always having the camera in front of you. Love eyecups - don't love IT, don't appreciate it and don't…

Good product with modification

I have had several of these eyecups over the past 3 years. This is indeed a very good product but requires a simple repair ie a dab of superglue in at least two places on the plastic section. All you have to do is separate the 2 sections and then apply a dab of glue to the plastic piece in the channel where the rubber piece meets. Then reconnect the two sections. In this case, the eyecup will serve you for many years. Rest assured, if you don't follow this procedure, you will undoubtedly lose…
