The company is now producing expensive firewood!

I bought these a few years ago and gave them away which I regret because when I bought them again this week I noticed that the company now makes them from raw wood full of knots and imperfections and such light that mine weighs less than 2 pounds. Pomeranian repels them. It's garbage! It is a pity that the company has stopped producing a quality product. This gate doesn't look like the one I bought from this company a few years ago and now it costs more!

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Nothing here

Don't waste your money

I gave this 3 stars first when I opened it and put it up for a week. It broke after 3 months of use. The first time I used Gorilla Glue to fix the problem. Problem solved. BUT it happened again at another point, all the wooden slats fell out of their grooves and the end piece fell out too. It was too much work to try and fix it again. Because it's so long I broke it apart and used it in two different doors (with some help with chairs). Not ideal at all! I will never buy this again and I am…

Protects kids from door and stair gates

I used this to build a fence over my living room to keep our young daughter away from the entertainment center. As time passed and she used it to get up, I had to make some improvements. I used some 2x2 boards and a blade to make extra legs for stabilization. Then I added a furniture strap to attach it to the wall so she couldn't move it. The last thing to do was use 2 cement blocks as she got stronger and will try to push her forward. It wasn't a bad setup, but it kept them from getting to…

Great Idea Poor Execution

I have a 97 inch kitchen opening and three very cute dogs. I wanted something long enough, freestanding, and strong enough that it didn't fit in the kitchen. The goals are quite long but the quality is terrible. I had to buy wood glue because. after the first day the gate began to crumble at the seams. The wood is an untreated species of wood and can be stained or stained to my liking. But the hassle of applying glue to all the seams took up a lot of my time. It does the job so I'm keeping it…

I agree because my dog is 7 inches tall

This product is 15 inches tall. Looks bigger in the photo. But he's tiny. This is normal for me as my dog is 7 inches tall. She's a 7-pound Chiviny and still hasn't made up her mind to jump over that gate. But she's not very jumping either. When your dog jumps. These gates may not work. This is perfect for me because 1) my dog is tiny. 2) I like that I can easily step over this gate without tripping. 3) Lightweight and easy to move. I am very satisfied with this product. I have to push the gate

  • Good product for the price

Exactly what I was looking for!

Perfect for keeping small dogs out of strange rooms! Even my small dogs can't get through the gaps between the bars. If you have a jumper, ruthless creeper, or escape master, this is most likely not the right answer for your pet. If you don't want to attach it to either side of a door frame or other fixed spot, all you have to do is zigzag it to keep it from falling. It's simple physics. I like that it's short enough to step over without having to move it or open a gate while it's in place…

  • Great for me

  • Very expensive

The perfect barrier to keep little beasts at bay!

I first bought this gate to use in the bedroom to divide the space in half and for that I needed a 5 leaf gate. I moved it to its current location and three panels would be long enough, but it's easy enough to tape the end next to the wall and make it a little stronger. It slides pretty easily when my chihuahua pushes on the edge so I added brick weights (like those used to hold up a pop up tent) and it works great. I'm very happy with this gate, but accidentally kicking it while climbing over…

The bad thing is that the gate is so light and...

I bought Pepper for my very calm (especially a Chihuahua) dog. Pepper weighs less than 4 pounds. So you can figure out it's not big enough to damage items. And she doesn't chew at all. I wanted to separate the dining area so it would have a kitchen and dining area when we're not home and it's an odd area with a sliding door and a fireplace. In any case, this gate actually works and fills the gap in my intended area. The bad news is the gate is so light and fragile I have to put a million things

Pros
