🔌 Plastic Splicer by Four Seasons: 84757 Review

Saved me a few bucks as this fitting works well with Mercury Mountaineer '06 and up and Ford Explorer 4.6 heater hose. I had a leak in the rear of the engine bay on the gear side, the culprit was the splitter.

Fixed a leaking Y-connector in my wife's 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT (3.8L V6). Saved me at least €100. It took about an hour to cut the old hoses and install the new clamps. So far, so good.

I have a grand caravan 2010. cracked the factory welding machine. I figured my only option would be to buy a factory "kit" that included the hoses (already attached) for over $100. After researching I found I can use this easily! worked great

This is a strong and functional 5/8" Y Hose. This is 45° Y, not "T". I would guess that it is glass fiber reinforced nylon. Why did I downgrade it to four stars? The flare is exaggerated and the detail is a bit coarse. It's all good if you clean it up. Don't cut yourself!

I was having trouble finding a Y-piece locally so decided to buy one from Amazon. I used it on a specific application for a 5/8 heater hose on my 2004 Saturn Ion Redline. It fits well. I run the hose all the way to the base so it's nice and clean. Its good quality and after 9 months it is still good and I would definitely recommend this faucet.

I recently used this connector to repair my 2008 Mercury Mountaineer (4.6 v8). So far this has worked like a charm. All I needed was three collars and about two o'clock on my Saturday. The thieves demanded $900 to replace the assembly, which cost about $15 to repair. The first photo shows an old defective factory plug, the second a repair. Hope this helps someone. Updated 2/7/17. A little over a year later it's still holding up. Not sure why bad reviews. Update 3/5/18 - Still holding up well.

Another version of this product is sold (under the same name or a different name) that includes four hose clamps and a small heater hose. I should have gotten it because it doesn't cost much more. It worked on my 2003 Durango heater hose instead of buying a $100 heater hose. The factory Y-connector shares a motor connection with the front and rear heater cores and is permanently bonded. I broke the connector and made sure to remove the adapter pieces that end in the heater hoses.
