There are no instructions with this purchase so personally I wouldn't recommend it at all. I got this because I wanted to test streaming and figured I'd get a cheap capture card rather than spend $100 on Elgato because I'm not sure I want to get into streaming. This transmitter was cheap enough to try as a digital piano BT transmitter for use with wireless BT headphones, but it wasn't working properly. I thought "low latency" would make it silly for this app, but I think it's not enough. The headphones are connected normally, the signal is strong, but the delay is a few tenths of a second, which makes playing the piano almost impossible. Bought this bluetooth transmitter at a great price. I particularly like the optical input as it is the only audio output on my TV. Imagine my horror when initially it didn't work with optical input. I bought this item as a transmitter for my mother's TV to a headset. (BOSE HEADSET) She cannot hear well even with hearing aids. The instruction manual looked like something out of a box of crackers. Fine print/small booklet and a bit confusing. (Make sure you have a magnifying glass) After about 20 minutes of trying to connect the Bluetooth headset, we were successful.
