The eastern jungle should be ashamed

If you want to make a product, you probably want to implement a design that works as intended. While the 4x4 legs fit with no problem, Eastern Jungle incompetently designed the 4x6 beam holes to be too small. I broke two rubber mallets trying to install these brackets but to no avail. Not everyone has a planer to minimize bar width and why should I even have one? Kudos for this crappy product. Based on reviews mentioning the same issue, Eastern Jungle needs to change its design. I will probably

Worth the extra money.

They seem expensive but once you buy cheaper individual braces that combine and do the same thing they are on the same level. They are well built and make it easier and faster to set up a stable swing. As they are pretty bulletproof I would suggest looking at stock listings, this is where I got mine and they were in perfect shape. Our old swing has rotted and my kids have outgrown it, but my daughter still loves to swing. Using 1 4x6x8 and 4 4x4x10 and recycling the swing set from the old set…

Easy to use and set up

The product is extremely easy to use. I ordered two ends and one middle mount. For the top beam I used 2-12' 4x6 treated lumber. Install them at the ends. First I miscalculated my height and bought a 16 foot 4x4 for legs. The plan is to sink her 18 inches into the ground for anchoring. After finding my mistake (Wrong triangle formula height. Used as 45-45-90. Use 22.5 67.5 90 as angle.) Cut legs at 14ft. Secured her still 18 in. 12 in concrete, 6 in backfill. He doesn't move. The cross is…

Advantages and disadvantages. the best play and swing sets

Now I have assembled two of these swing sets: one at home, 12ft wide, with 3 swings and one at my 87 year old grandmother's house, 16ft wide, with center support Holder, a swing bench for her and 2 children's swings. I will first address some of the complaints in other reviews that the mounts are too small for a 4x6 PT bar. Yes, the bar sits exactly as it should. Because of the process, and it's all about pressure treatment, they inject chemicals into the pressure wood to preserve it. Over…

Sports and outdoors are worth every penny

The attached image shows the finished product. I have 5 kids and another on the way so I built it with the intention that it would last well into 18+ years and be big and strong enough for even teenagers to enjoy. I've only been using this swing for about a month so we'll see how long it lasts :). This framing member made installing the swing beam and frame much easier than assembling something yourself. I made a 10 foot 4x4 for the legs of the A-frame so it's quite large (about 9 feet) and I…

Very impressive swing, easy to assemble

These brackets make it very easy to assemble a very strong swing frame. Having just assembled one, I can offer a little advice. I've read that people had to sand the ends of the wood to fit into bowls. I had a 4x4 that was wet and bloated and didn't fit. I figured I could use a hair dryer to speed up the drying process. It wasn't true, but the hair dryer really helped. Heat the metal sleeve for ten minutes (until it feels hot), it will expand and the problem is solved. Assembly order matters…

Sturdy brackets minimize woodwork

These brackets are very strong and will save you the hassle of cutting a lot (maybe all) of wood. For me, the 4x4 slipped easily into their holes. I used 10 foot 4x4s. Because 4WDs have leeway, they can bolt on and make one A-frame significantly wider or narrower than the second A-frame (assuming you buy two of these to make a traditional A-frame swing). . Between the legs on each side I attached a cross piece of wood 2x6 of the same length at the same distance from the bottom of the legs. So I

Before I start my review there are a few things you need to know. First of all, I did NOT receive this item for free or with a discount. Second, I'm a 34-year-old woman with no prior experience assembling anything like a seesaw. I had never used a ratchet before. I am a biochemist, eye disease researcher and mother of a 4 year old boy with autism. My son loves swings like many kids with autism. And when I say love, that's a massive understatement. His birthday is coming up and I wanted to give…
