Franklin Sports 8.5-inch Rubber Tetherball Review

The thread does not pick up, stays tied to the ball. It keeps getting to the point where we have to buy additional equipment to modify it.

Delivered on time. Frustrated with the rope attaching to the ball. Lasted 1 game. Now I have to tie back after every game. The kids have lost interest.

Very disappointed, after a few weeks it got damaged in the sun and broke. It leaves a white film on hands when touched and wears off immediately. Expected more from a well-known brand!

The hook came loose from the tip within 1 hour of being used by children. We used to have tetherballs and we didn't have that problem. they usually last for several years and the string breaks. As you can see it just ripped out. The ball is still new.

Ideal for use as a leash I agree it's not too soft because here in Arizona softballs break and die in the sun. It works perfectly, it is exactly what you see in the picture and to my surprise it aired when it came to me so cheers

I bought this ball to replace a ball I had for 10 years and it was aging. This new ball faded to white in 2 months. Dried white paint comes off your hands like powder when you play. Nobody wants to play anymore. waste of money. Overall, the old Tetherball was better despite being 10 years old.

We bought this for our 70lb digger - lab mix - to play with. We hung it on a branch and set it in motion. She immediately understood how to play with him and literally had fun. It's soft enough for her to put in her mouth, yet very durable - seems resilient to biting and chewing so far. If you are looking for a great ball for dogs and children then this is the one. We strongly recommend it!

While the cable itself has held up very well, I can't say the same about the rope that comes with the kit. The rope broke many times and I had to get creative to retie and reattach it. Also, this product does not come with a hook to attach to the chain. It should have been a separate purchase. I hope the manufacturer sends more ropes that last a little longer than the 2 months they were used. I bought 2 and both broke multiple times.

Very disappointed with this product. It looked well built when it arrived, but I didn't care what type of rope it used. It's quite stiff, and while it's the same length as the replacement rope, the stiffness of the rope means it rotates at about half the speed around the bar compared to the original. Not a big deal, but the games are much shorter. So, after 8 months, the ball burned out in the sun and broke everywhere. he also lost almost all of his air. The rubber it's made of is clearly not…
