I bought these boots on purpose because they advertised as waterproof. I work as a pizza delivery guy in northeast Ohio so I need something to protect my legs. It's not like I trudge through a foot or two of snow, but sometimes people don't shovel their paths and I have to walk on a bit of snow. As soon as these shoes touch the snow, my feet are wet. I'm not one to give 1 stars without thinking, but these boots were so bad in the first 30 seconds out of the box I didn't have a choice. The right shoe seemed narrower than the left. I have a 10.5 and have never needed large sizes. The right boot was basically pinching my ankles. I put on the left shoe and it fit perfectly. I've been wearing them for a few months now and they seem to be holding up so far. I work in the metropolitan department, so they've benefitted a lot over the last few months. A few days ago we had 2 jobs. I drove, and as I hooked up to the fire hydrants, laying scrimmage lines and other noises, my boots got wet, but I will say my feet stayed dry. Updated in a week. These boots are terrible. I sincerely regret my purchase and am disappointed that Revain is allowing these people to advertise these boots as waterproof. Rest assured, they are absolutely not waterproof! And even a week after wearing them, they became unusable. I bought in my size on a higher level and yet these boots dig into my two outer toes on each side. It hurts to wear them and you have to throw them away and buy something else. waste of money! I am very pleased with the look of these boots. They look like a cross between sneakers and combat boots. Wearing them for the first time and they are very comfortable. I'll report wear and tear after a while, but out of the box I'm very satisfied.
