Press n Seal isn't

I have been a fan of Press n Seal freezer packaging for years and was very disappointed that they no longer sell it. I decided to try this instead, and while it's actually heavier than regular wrap without the stickiness and sealability that P&S offers, my chicken thighs managed to get some freezer burn. Maybe I need to improve my winding skills and I will keep trying.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs

Does not work as advertised

Purchased to cover large plates and baking sheets. It will not stick to itself and will not stick to plates and pans unless pulled very hard. It lacks the functionality of stretch-tite. I can't imagine packaging unfrozen meat and expecting something close to an airtight seal where the product adheres to the meat. Our experience so far is that wrapping the meat in a thin sheet of plastic wrapped in waxed cutting paper provides the best seal to avoid freezer burn. A review by America's Test…

Pros
  • Best in niche

Really good items in the housewares department

Rolls well, won't break unless you have sharp bones and don't pull too hard. This foil is easy to use as it is slightly thicker. It's not the best sticking option, but that's also why it's easy to use. It holds up well enough that if you wrap it in layers you can press the wrap very tightly against the food leaving little air between the food and the wrap meaning the food will last longer. In fact, I just ate year old steaks (heavy discount price) and the meat looked great. No burning because I

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
