Works great for beveling the underside of a countertop

Ideal for beveling the underside of a worktop. The incision was smooth with no fractures. I ended up cutting myself trying to get it out of the box!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Update available

Another great Freud cutter

Another great Freud cutter. I got this to make square lamp posts on tapered elements. Thought it would be safer than some table saw setups. This thing is massive. Biggest router bit I've ever seen.

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Empty

Did a great job for power and hand tools

Use this to create 1" bevels on Newel posts. Red oak that is still very wet (humidity 12% <). I've spent a lot of time with a Bosch 2.25 HP router. and slowly switch between cuts. It took some time to figure out the correct speed setting on the router to make the router rotate (cut) when working with material larger than 0.5 inch. Would buy again if needed.

Pros
  • Bits
Cons
  • Expensive

Sharp, massive, and theoretically deadly if you're not careful.

Shups, this monster is too big for most projects! But it slices like crazy, but I recommend NOT trying to use the entire slice area at once. Like any routing, it turns off little by little. I've had several instances where my heart stopped when I climbed too much and my router was ripped out of my hands. The user is an idiot, a little is fine. Always wear PPE, I don't care how cool you look. You look more alive and CONFIDENT

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Can't remember

Cuts Like Freud

I used this tool to contour the edges of a 5/4 sugar maple placemat. Worked great. Cut carefully without burning. That's a big hit! I had to make a custom insert for my Porter Cable hand router to match the bit diameter. I was concerned that the router's fixed speed was too high for a bit of this size. This is not a problem. Other reviews indicate that the bat is so large that it is dangerous. Just slow down your feed rate, make successive shallow cuts and you'll be fine.

Pros
  • Power Tool Parts and Accessories
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
