Disappointing quality, avoid buying

As an industrial and scientific buyer, I have used many router bits for cutting tools. Through trial and error, I found that this particular product was not up to par. The bit was not durable and broke easily, causing safety concerns. The only pro was that it was easy to install. Overall, avoid purchasing this product as it will not last long and may cause harm.

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting due to high-quality material.
Cons
  • Requires a specific type of router bit for installation, limiting accessibility for those without the necessary equipment.

Regulatory Care

Latest Type II handrail codes require a 5/16 inch deep finger cavity. not deep enough. Look for a router bit that is at least 1 1/4 inch in diameter.

Pros
  • Tools and Household Products
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price

OK, but not perfect.

I wish they had a second bearing above the router or that the top of the router taper to zero instead of 1/16 inch. The 1" top edge of the cutter leaves its mark as it is very hard so the shaft doesn't slide on the wood. I've used this on 2x6 deck railings so the hassle isn't that great, but it still bothered me.

Pros
  • chamfer and flute bits
Cons
  • little things
